Emerald Bowl is a college football competition during the post-season. It was initially known as the San Francisco Bowl, with the official name of “Diamond Walnut San Francisco Bowl” because Diamond of California sponsored this event. This firm is now recognized as Diamond Foods.

Emerald Bowl matches a top team of the ACC against a top team of the Pac-10 Conference side. For the 2006 event, UCLA fought it out against the Florida squad in what turned out to be a memorable contest.
